	End Discrimination in the Workplace Dear hwrc, In 29 states, it's still legal to fire someone because they're gay. As a result, thousands of hardworking lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans have lost their livelihoods simply because of who they are. But now, for the first time, we have the chance to end this unacceptable discrimination. Just this month, the Senate has introduced the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would make it illegal to fire, refuse to hire, or refuse to promote employees simply based on sexual orientation or gender identity. President Obama supports a fully-inclusive ENDA, but there are opponents of gay rights on Capitol Hill that will fight to preserve discrimination. To overcome this opposition, the Human Rights Campaign, one of our partners and a leading organization fighting for equality for all Americans, needs your help. Stand for equality by asking your senators to support ENDA and end workplace discrimination today > We all know how tough the economy is these days.
